CMGA Q1 2025 Quarterly Board Meeting

President John Christmas called the CMGA Board Quarterly meeting to order at 2:40 pm on March 26, 2025 at the Chattahoochee Golf Course Grill.

Roll call was conducted with the following Executive Board and Advisory Committee Members present: Gary Vogel, VP; Drew Satterfield, Treasure; Rich Fleming, Secretary; Tournament Director, George Mah; Advisory Committee Members: Eddie Johnson and Don Gardner

Treasury Report was approved by the President.  The following present/future budget matters were discussed:

• Completed 2025 payments and updates: Mail Box, Bank and State Corporation

• The CMGA’s donated Bench funds ($417) is set aside for maintenance/plaques

Old Business

• Encouraging the Membership to play “ready golf” remains a priority

New Business

• A new spring/fall Hogan Cup format will begin May 1st , signup soon

• The Board is considering Decoy restaurant for the July 2nd Social

• The July 2nd tournament will be a Gold Tee Two-Man “Chapman” Format

• The Board approved to update CMGA’s website photos

• A token and logo are being considered by the Board

• Rodger will update City’s website to reflect CMGA membership/handicap fees

• The Board was briefed by Rodger concerning slow play by CMGA Members

• The Board approved to provide a volunteer Marshal during tournament play

• The Marshal’s golf cart will be provided by Rodger free of charge

• If practical, payouts to Members will continue if present after play

• The NCAA Tournament May 5-7 requires volunteers, please contact Gary Vogel
