CMGA Minutes for August 12, 2026

President Gary Vogel called the meeting of the Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association (CMGA) to order at 2:00 pm on August 12, 2026, at the Apple Mountain Golf Course.

II. Roll call
Roll call was conducted with the following attendees: Gary Vogel President, Drew Satterfield Vice President, David Schofield Treasurer, Rich Fleming Secretary, George Mah Tournament Director and Website Mgr.
Advisory Committee member Present: Randall Jones

III. Old Business
No old business.

IV. New business
Budget Report - Drew 

Balance $4,844 beginning of the 2nd quarter; minus $276; current balance $4,700 roughly [includes $400 bench fund], in addition $355 Hole n One fund; $140 petty cash.

V. Review Guest Policy
Allow to play three times, then they need to decide to join or not.
Occasionally a family member or friend can play as a guest without any issues. We will post if they have a GHIN.

VI. November Board Meeting a Party
Date Monday November 2, 2026 at the Chattahoochee Country Club.
Invite paid members only. Exceptions [Rodger, Jameson, and Ed] will be invited.
John Williams and Tom Cusanelli invited guests?
Co-pay $50.00

VII. Pace of play
Suggestions; foursome captains responsible to keep it moving; hit when ready, no honors; enter scores at the next tee box; watch when your players hit.; help find stray hits.

Randall covered pace of play issues at Chicopee are improving; last minute cancellations are becoming an issue. Maybe hold back the next invite?

VII. Courses to Play 
Sequoyah Sept 8th -- $75.00 sixteen players.
Possibilities; UGA course; Sky Valley NC.

VIII. Miscellaneous Comments
1. Can paid memberships be available to view in Golf Genius - yes per George.
2. Follow up with Rodger on a 9 hole game for super seniors after our Wednesday round. A long shot! Possible cart-path-only for the eight months after opening.
3. Maintain one set of rules for M/W/F.
4. We will not be involved in choosing a player's tee box.
5. Merger of Monday/Wednesday/Friday will not happen.

Friday morning tee times at CGC may be a challenge. Several groups are requesting the same from Rodger. It could be an issue. Stay tuned.

VIX. Officers for 2027
All CMGA members shall be informed via email,14 days prior to the Annual Meeting [Nov. 2, 2026] of the Board nominees for 2027. Voting will take place at the annual meeting on November 2, 2026.

Recommendations for the 2027 Advisory Committee; Frank Piedra and Phil Saucier.
